Research and Teaching

The "Chair for Investment, Portfolio Management and Pensions" at Frankfurt Goethe University has been in existence since 2000. The research work of Prof. Dr. Raimond Maurer and his team closes a gap in university education with a mixture of methodological principles and current, practice-relevant research focuses. To date, over 18,000 students have attended the investment-specific lectures. The research results of the Chair of Old-age Provision are also highly recognized internationally.

Website of the chair

Prof. Dr. Raimond Maurer studied business administration at the University of Mannheim after completing an apprenticeship as a bank clerk. There he received his doctorate and habilitation with work in the areas of asset management, investment funds and insurance companies. His research interests are in the areas of portfolio and risk management, institutional investors and funded old-age provision.
